At our next meeting on 17th November Quentin and Liz Deakin continue the focus on Robert Owen and the textile industry. This time the spotlight will be on Owen's wide-ranging reforming activity and the Utopian thinking that inspired it. Liz Deakin will be following the first part of the presentation with a look at utopian thinkers over a long time period..and how things can easily turn in a dystopian direction.
