At the meeting on October 19th 2026, TDHS members Freddie Collier and Julia Wilson will be following up Dr Raye's fascinating account of medieval encounters with animals on their way to extinction, with talks:

Freddie on the River Dysynni, which has the title The Cormorant's Commute

Julia on the growing problem of river pollution, with the title Welsh Rivers - Past and Present.

I'm sure both will be very interesting. The meeting will also include an illustrated talk on the recent trip to the two Ceredigion early monastic sites of Strata Florida and Llanbadarn Fawr, as well as a look forward to the member consultation on next year's programme.
