Richard Mayou on hillforts castles and houses

On Monday 16th May 2022, the society welcomed the evening's speaker, Professor Richard Mayou, author of The Dyfi Estuary - an Illustrated History. As the title of the presentation - 'From hill-forts to castles to houses' - indicates, Richard covered a huge span of Welsh history; an exciting and absorbing story of power-struggle and evolution. The talk was lavishly illustrated and expertly delivered and Richard was warmly thanked. Questions and a discussion on the theme followed.
