Jean Napier on the living history of Bardsey Island

The society's meeting on Monday 20th November 2023 was the popular local photographer/author/film-maker Jean Napier. Jean's subject was the beautiful island of Bardsey, its history as a centre of religion and pilgrimage, its fluctuating population, its wildlife and the activities and occupations of its present-day residents. The talk was illustrated by Jean's excellent photographs and concluded with a showing of her stunning film of a single day in the life of the island from sunrise to sunset. Questions followed and Jean was warmly thanked.
